Color ID

This application helps you pick colors from images, convert color formats, and explore color theory.

• Image Picker Tab:
  • Upload Image: Click "Upload Image" or drag and drop an image file onto the app container.
  • Capture Image: Click "Capture Image" to use your device's camera.
  • Pick Colors: Click anywhere on the loaded image to get its RGB, HEX, HSL, and a common name.
  • Zoom & Pan: Use mouse wheel (desktop) or pinch/drag gestures (touch) on the image. Buttons are also available for zoom control.
  • Dominant Colors: Automatically extracted prominent colors from the image. Click a swatch to view its details.
  • Picked Colors History: A record of colors you've picked. Click a swatch to re-view its details.
  • Copy Values: Click the "Copy" button next to any color value (RGB, HEX, HSL) to copy it to your clipboard.
• Color Converter Tab:
  • Enter a color value in HEX, RGB (e.g., 255, 0, 128), or HSL (e.g., 180, 50%, 75%) format into the respective input field.
  • Click the "Convert" button to see the color translated into all three formats.
• Color Theory Tab:
  • This tab generates color schemes based on the last color you picked in the "Image Picker" tab.
  • Complementary: Generates the color directly opposite on the color wheel.
  • Analogous: Generates two colors adjacent to your picked color on the color wheel.
  • Triadic: Generates two colors equally spaced from your picked color on the color wheel.
  • Click any generated swatch to see its details.
